Solar Ready

The signature series Air Conditioners and Heat pumps by Lennox are Solar Ready, which means the sun can provide the power to run your new system now or at a later date when you’re ready to take advantage of the technology. Lenox is the only manufacture to offer this type of technology so easy for homeowners to use.

why_solar

Homeowners across the globe are seeing the solar light. The reasons vary for each person, though they mainly come down to the following:

It’s free. Solar-energy systems allow you to capture free sunlight and convert it into usable power in your home.

It’s clean.  Solar energy can be used to heat and cool your home, but it has almost no impact on the global climate. By comparison, electricity generated by power plants produces carbon dioxide emissions that scientists say pose serious threats to the environment.

It’s infinitely renewable. While nonrenewable energy sources like oil, gas and coal are becoming increasingly scarce, the sun’s energy is limitless. Wherever sunlight shines, electricity can be generated.

It can reduce your utility costs. Having a system that creates solar energy means you use less electricity from your utility company, and that can contribute to lower heating and cooling costs. This is significant, especially when you consider 56% of energy use in a typical U.S. home comes from heating and cooling*. To find out how much you can save by harnessing energy from the sun, use our solar calculator.

It comes with incentives. The U.S. federal government and some states provide tax credits for renewable-energy systems. Depending on where you live, you may also be eligible for incentives through your utility company. To find out what incentives are available in your area, visit dsireusa.org.

It increases your energy self-reliance. The more sunlight harnessed by the system, the less electricity you need from your utility supplier.

It can also increase your home’s value. An investment in a solar-energy system may improve the value of your home, thanks to its ability to lower the cost of heating and cooling. Surveys conducted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development have shown that home values rise an average of $20 for every $1 reduction in annual utility bills.

It’s extremely reliable. The sun has been around for billions of years and is likely to burn on for billions more to come. And when you consider how a trusted name like Lennox is putting it to economical use in the home, it’s easy to see solar energy’s future is bright.

Mini Split Systems

A little about Fujitsu

Like conventional HVAC systems, the Fujitsu Halcyon system locates the noisy compressor and condenser outside the house. But Halcyon systems eliminate the need for a basement- or attic-located evaporator unit and bulky ductwork by using thin copper tubing that pumps refrigerant directly to discreet wall mounted blowers inside. Even more remarkable, this same unit works in reverse in winter, absorbing heat from the outside air and moving it indoors to heat your home. The result? Efficient cooling and heating for year-round, whole-house comfort in most climates.

Available in numerous mix-and-match capacities and configurations, there’s a Halcyon mini-split system for even the most difficult to heat and cool areas.

Easy Installation
Copper tubing running through a small 3 to 4-inch opening in the wall or ceiling easily connects the indoor and outdoor units. Refrigerant is cycled through the lines from the outdoor condensing unit to the indoor unit, where the air is quietly distributed to the interior space.

Wall Mounted

wall-mounted

Strong, quiet and efficient DC motors are used both indoors and outdoors. High performance fan blades, condensers and evaporators combined with variable speed inverter-driven compressors make for unmatched performance. Variable speed compressors automatically adjust to
fluctuating room capacity requirements.

This category of equipment is ideal for smaller spaces where spot cooling or heating is required.  Systems 9R2 and 12R2 are 115 volt heat pumps, making residential applications including sunrooms and additions much easier.

Stylish, slim and elegant, these popular  wall mounted units are designed for single rooms.  Indoor units have a clean, aesthetic design and are small but mighty and shorter in length than competing units, helping them blend into any room. 9RLFW and 12RLFW are Energy Star qualified heat pumps, meaning they save you money on your utility bill and provide both heating and cooling.

As part of the HFI line of components, indoor units ASU9RLF and ASU12RLF are compatible with larger multi-zone outdoor units of the
HFI line, meaning less SKUs to stock for distributors.

Inverter Technology – 9RLFW and 12RLFW
Through advanced technology, Inverter air conditioners are more economical to operate and quieter to run than conventional units. They can handle greater extremes in temperature, are smoother and more stable in operation, and reach the desired temperature more quickly than conventional air conditioners.

Slim Duct

Slim Duct

Slim ducts provide comfort cooling or heating for small room applications.  Features include high efficiency up to 21.5 SEER, heating at low temperatures down to -5ºF, compact design, quiet operation, a standard wired remote control, and the ability to bring in fresh air.

Floor Mounted

Floor Mounted

These models are universal mounted, meaning they can mount low on the floor or low on the wall, yet high enough for a vacuum to get under them. They can also be mounted on the ceiling. A popular application for this model is in hallways where wall space is limited.

Slim and lightweight in design, these systems are ideal for house of worship to mount beneath stained glass windows. Lower in height that the pews they do not disturb the aesthetics of the space. With long piping lengths of 165′ the outdoor units can also be placed remotely out of sight.

Ceiling Cassette

ceiling-cassette

nstalled within the ceiling void flush to the ceiling with a slim 20mm ceiling grille, ceiling cassettes have long been the preferred air conditioner. Fujitsu cassettes have always been one of the slimmest available, thereby beating the competition in installation. Now Fujitsu has achieved another first with its ‘Slender Fit’ technology. Specifically designed for restricted ceiling voids, the ‘Slender Fit’ mechanism allows the position of the cassette body to be adjusted relative to the grille, reducing the height of the unit by 35mm. Ensuring an even better fit in narrow ceiling voids.

All cassette models benefit from multi-directional air flow systems, allowing conditioned air to be distributed from two, three or four aspects of the unit, thereby permitting the unit to be installed along a wall or in the corner of a room. Other standard features include Auto Air Flow Adjustment that automatically adjusts the air flow to match room conditions and Auto-Changeover on the heat pump models, which automatically changes from the heating to cooling mode to maintain the set temperature.

Apollo also carries other brands of mini splits including Samsung and LG to apply to all applications. Please call and ask to talk to a comfort advisor for more information.
